“You do it wrong.”
These months along
I now meet someone new,
And he comes up
To show me up
Well, him and others too.
Not fairy kind
But more like mine.
Two more approaching me,
The first said more.
“Seen you explore.
How fare you hunting beasts?”
“To hear or see
Ability,
Which one do you prefer?
Give me your best.
I’ll pass the test.
Of that rest ye assured.”
The fairy then
Did apprehend
The plot they had in mind.
She laughed at me,
Wished luck to me,
And left me in my bind.
They led me through
Their wood unto
A ruse below a cliff.
(They’d dug a pit
Right next to it.)
And then I caught a whiff.
They then told me
I’d be luring
The charging beast inside.
Dowsed in the pee
Of one in heat,
I stood and thought I’d die.
