Almost There

I continue to record my adventures on your internet. Enjoy. -P

Once down below,
We all moved slow
Through shadow, junk, and grime.
”So, what’s this style?”
The fairy smiled.
”The Mangy Maritime?”

A new voice spoke.
And others woke,
Within the brig, from sleep.

”That you there, Cap?”
He whispered, “Cap!”
Then boards began to creak.

”Look quick! The key!
But quietly!”
We searched from roof to floor.
More noise upstairs.
”They ain’t no wheres.”
Then fairy got the door.

We snuck along
Now seven strong
The fairy making eight.
No time to sit
And wonder if
Our ride could take the weight.

One thing remained:
The deck, blood-stained,
To cross without a noise.
Then, almost there,
I felt a stare.
And heard, ”Are you lost, boys?”
